The annual “March Madness” basketball tournament always creates a lot of buzz in the sports community. Typically, when the tournament is mentioned, people assume that they are talking about the men’s tournament. Recognizing and equally appreciating women's sports has been an issue for a while now, but significant progress has been made. This year, the women's tournament was much more entertaining than the men’s. The women’s tournament was competitive and intense while the men’s final four consisted of seemingly random teams. In the women’s championship game between The University of Iowa and Louisiana State University, there were 2 main players who stood out, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

Titans Gallup Past Stallions, 56-54
On Tuesday, February 21, the Alexandria City Titans stunned the South County Stallions in a comeback thriller to win their Occoquan regional quarterfinal game, 56-54. Senior Kullen Robinson led the Titans to the win with a last second steal and buzzer-beater layup, in addition to total 16 points. Junior Kye Robinson contributed 19 points, freshman Darius Bivins put up 7, juniors Isaiah Sitton and Sean Burbage each scored 6, and junior Teko Bostick had 2.

For hundreds of students at the Minnie Howard campus of ACHS, Student Support Services Coordinator Kevin McNutt is a friendly face they see every day. Greeting them at the entrance with a smile, McNutt asks them about their days. What they, along with most teachers and administrators, might not know is that McNutt is a published author of two books and has lived around the world.
