Safe Space Club
The Safe Space Club is a new club that is led by juniors Casey Marsh and Noah Jennings. This is the club’s first year in action, and Marsh and Jennings have many ideas to promote it. Although ACHS offers a variety of counseling services for students, there aren’t as many places for students to confide in their peers. When you just want someone to talk to, speaking to an adult can be intimidating for some students, so Safe Space Club creates another outlet for them.

The End of Titan Lunch Has Come
In a letter sent on Parentsquare yesterday evening, ACHS Executive Principal Peter Balas announced that Titan Lunch will not be taking place this school year. This comes after sources confirmed Thursday that the extended lunch period’s implementation had been postponed from its planned January 24 start date due to Central Office not approving the plan.

Titans 4 Making a Difference
Titans 4 Scholars (T4S) is a student-run organization of 12 juniors who create fundraisers to raise money to ensure that each ACHS student, regardless of socioeconomic background, has the opportunity to attend college. The program runs for seven weeks and plans to raise $12,000 for an ACHS student to attend all four years of college.

Zooming Into States
Many members of the indoor track team are zooming into qualifications for states this season! Seniors Daniel Franklin, Isaiah Kargo-Owens, Eli Wilson and Hassan Kamara placed first place in their relay heat during the Liberty Premier Invitational Track Meet on January 7. Their exceptional times automatically qualified them for states, surpassing the need to go to districts or regionals.
