ACHS is a diverse community with a variety of clubs, but sophomore Miranda Tonsetic thought something was missing. With sophomore Eliza Gwin and freshman Maddie Cantrell, Tonsetic started the ACHS Musicians Club.

Data analyzed by Theogony show that the national gender disparities between men and women in four-year college enrollment has had similar manifestations at Alexandria City High School since at least the 2016-2017 school year.

Deanna Kosinski, junior, has formed a hobby into a profit. Kosinski learned how to crochet when she was 16. She started to crochet to connect with her culture, as crochet is common in Slavic cultures.

Remembering Virgil Abloh, Fashion Mastermind
We lost an icon, we lost a true inspiration to our generation, and most of all we lost a role model. Virgil Abloh was the image of success, he was the image of hard work. He showed us that anything was possible; he showed us no matter where you're from, no matter your background, you can be whatever you want to be, you just have to want it enough for yourself. As for Virgil, he wanted it badly enough. From collaborations with Nike, Levi, Louis Vuitton, Jordan, to his own major designer brand, Off White, he left an indelible mark on the fashion industry.

ACHS Presents the One-Act Play Festival
The Alexandria City High School One-Act Play Festival is an annual competition between four student-directed one-act plays each under 35 minutes. The festival occurred over three showings: the first on Friday, January 14 at 7 PM, and the other two on Saturday, January 15, one at 2 PM and one at 7 PM. Four judges determined the winner of the competition, which went onto a local tournament at West Springfield High School on Saturday, January 29. The program is run by ACHS teachers Mrs. Hope Bachman and Ms. Leslie Jones.

Hawkeye Hits the Target for Marvel Fans
In 2020, COVID-19 was a Marvel fan's worst enemy. It was the first year in a decade with no new Marvel releases, but 2021 has been one of the most exciting years yet for Marvel fans. Hawkeye is the fifth Marvel series released by Disney+ this year, and fans approve. Hawkeye received a 94% from Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest-rated Marvel series of 2021.
