Titans volleyball takes down Kellam to capture their first state championship Hunter Langley When Kellam High School’s volleyball Coach Janice Johnson walked into The Garden for the first time, it was clear that this game was going to be different than any previous game the Titan girls volleyball team played before. Johnson had state championship rings covering her fingers; Kellam has been a volleyball powerhouse in the Virginia High School League for many years. In a Year Like No Other, Volleyball Dominates the Court
For the second year in a row, Varsity Girls Volleyball has won the Gunston District Championship. This is the first time in the school’s history that the team has been back-to-back district champions. The team also went on to win the Occoquan 6C Region Championship and is currently undefeated, going 15-0 during the regular and playoff season.

Titan athletes dominate despite a quick start Hunter Langley After a year of chaos, anxiety and disappointment, a sense of normalcy has returned for Titan student-athletes. With the winter sports season cancelled and other districts beginning workouts for fall sports, it looked like the ball wasn’t going to bounce the Titan’s way again. But with great surprise the athletic department, led by James Parker, came up with a detailed plan to help get athletes back doing what they love. T.C. Seniors Lose Their “Last Dance” Hunter Langley Over the past eight months, nothing but uncertainty and disappointment has arisen from the coronavirus pandemic. Perhaps the biggest disappointment for a lot of seniors was the announcement from the athletic department that the school would not be participating in the winter sports season. The announcement comes at the heels of a letter written by the Alexandria Health Director (AHD) Stephen Hearing where he stated that the “AHD does not recommend conducting/participating in sports and activities in which there is close proximity to athletes.” The Virginia High School League (VHSL) the organization in charge of high school athletics has not yet canceled…
