The COVID-19 outbreak has made us have to adjust to a life of social distancing and distance learning. As we settle in to this "new normal," here is a glimpse into the lives of Kei, 15, who lives in Tokyo, Japan; Benoit, 12, who lives in London Colney, UK; Jose, 15, who lives in Antigua, Guatemala; and Avizheh, 13, and Hannah, 14, who live in Lahore, Pakistan.

The following is the transcript of an interview with Dr. Stephen Haering, director of the Alexandria Health Department, on the state, local and federal response to COVID-19; the availability of tests and medical equipment; and the reopening of Virginia. When the interview was conducted on April 19, there were 300 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alexandria. As of April 20, Alexandria has over 400 cases, including 8 fatalities.

During the past couple weeks, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has made drastic changes to the coronavirus procedure in the state. These changes come after a series of appearances, the first being on March 23rd, followed a week later by a March 30th announcement.

The pandemic of COVID-19 has greatly affected the educational structures of students across the globe. T.C. students have a variety of concerns with how this outbreak will affect their grades, credits, and college acceptances while also leaving seniors disappointed about their loss of graduation and prom.

On Friday, March 20, 2020, College Board announced changes to their AP exams scheduled for this May as a response to the hundreds of school closures due to the continued risk and spread of COVID-19 or coronavirus. Prior to the announcement, ACPS had already closed their schools until April 14, the day after spring break.
