Mekaila Tucker joined T.C. Williams staff as a counselor at Academy One and the Satellite Campus. Tucker and her husband moved to Alexandria at the end of last year.

Lover: A Nightmare Dressed Like a Daydream
The first two singles released for the album had all the whim and excitement that one would expect from a Disney Channel Original movie--the songs were lyrically shallow and sounded ditzy and obnoxious. Most importantly, what was lacking was the vulnerable authenticity that Swift has become known for. “ME!” and “You Need to Calm Down” in particular lacked this quality. While there seemed to be a major disconnect with these singles, they are no indicator of the well-executed pieces featured in “Lover.”

At Your Convenience
A new student lunch line in the cafeteria was opened this school year on September 10. The Titan Express, located to the left of quiet dining, was renovated over the summer. Differing from the previous Titan Express, instead of a traditional lunch line students will be able to pick and choose the parts of lunch they want.

Each year, the school has revised the schedule at the King Street Campus to allow time for students to catch up on work, learn important information through videos, and speak with counselors. Although the root purpose of this daily period of time has remained the same, the means of doing so has certainly changed.
