It is a whole new world of T.C. teachers and staff. This year, over 60 new people (in total across both campuses) have joined the staff. They have come from a variety of places along the east coast to educate and assist students.

Titan Profile: Mekaila Tucker
Mekaila Tucker joined T.C. Williams staff as a counselor at Academy One and the Satellite Campus. Tucker and her husband moved to Alexandria at the end of last year.

At Your Convenience
A new student lunch line in the cafeteria was opened this school year on September 10. The Titan Express, located to the left of quiet dining, was renovated over the summer. Differing from the previous Titan Express, instead of a traditional lunch line students will be able to pick and choose the parts of lunch they want.

The Evolution of Advisory
Titan Time. Seminar. Advisory. Each year, the school has revised the schedule at the King Street Campus to allow time for students to catch up on work, learn important information through videos, and speak with counselors. Although the root purpose of this daily period of time has remained the same, the means of doing so has certainly changed.

Collaborating With Kagan
While most students were taking advantage of the last week of their summer, teachers were in the building, learning how to help keep the classroom interactive. All teachers underwent a three day Kagan training program, where they learned the ins and outs of a new program that gets students up, engaged, and learning in the classroom.
