Friday night lights. On October 19 the Titans football team traveled to Edison to play their final road game on the season. Both the Titans and the Eagles had a 3-4 record going into the contest and it was a match-up of who wanted it more and the Titans showed it in their intense and physical play.

APES is NOT the Easy AP
Advanced Placement Environmental Science is often discredited. Viewed as the “easy AP science,” the APES course is a double block, making it a lot of work. The AP test consists of 100 multiple choice questions completed in 1 hour 30 minutes and 4 free response questions in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The Funniest Comedy Farce Ever Written
Noises Off, a play written by Michael Frayn, and originally directed by Michael Blakemore will be presented in T.C. Williams High School at King Street Campus inside the main auditorium starting November 9, 2018. A comedy inside another flop comedy. A play within a play. Doors slamming, on and offstage curiosity.

Field Hockey Shoots for District Title Again
After a loss in the second round of the regional playoffs last season, the Varsity field hockey team is looking to improve its postseason run this year. The Titans beat Mt. Vernon in the Gunston District Semifinals 5-0, with two goals scored by Senior Reese Hardman, and one goal scored by each Senior Caroline Bates, Junior Caroline Peterson, and Senior Bridget Williams.

Hawks Fly Through Titans
On October 12, T.C. Williams traveled to Hayfield in a game that was a test of the team’s ability to win the district. The Titans were coming off a huge win against rival West Potomac the week before.

Although the New Orleans rapper has not discussed in specifics why the album came so delayed, he said to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that the contractual disputes surrounding its release were “just business.”

Boys Basketball Gets New Coach
The T.C. Williams boys basketball program has struggled in the past years, recently letting go of former head coach Brett Sullivan and prior years head coach Brian Hill due to coaching issues. After the firing of Brett Sullivan, Athletic Director James Parker hired former college assistant coach Darryl Prue.

Titans Football Mauls Wolverines
On Friday October 5, T.C. Williams travelled a few miles to take on the school’s rival West Potomac High School in a Friday night showdown. Both teams came into the game with a 2-3 record and trying to make it .500 with a win.

Who’s Got the Power?
TC Williams High School advertises themselves as an environmentally green school, with automatic sinks in the bathrooms, using little to no water for flushing toilets, and a green roof containing a water cistern to reuse rainwater.
