Jared Bernstein, the former chief economist to Vice President Joe Biden during the Obama administration, will give a series of talks on public policy, the national economy, and data analysis at T.C. in February and March. The lectures are open to all interested students.
Bernstein, who now works as a senior fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, will come on February 12, February 19, and March 5. Students may come to as many of the lectures as they wish, and they do not need to be enrolled in any particular class to attend. They will be held in the rotunda from 3:30 to 4:20 p.m.

Bernstein has worked at the Economic Policy Institute, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Congressional Budget Office. He is a frequent commentator for CNBC and regularly writes op-eds for The New York Times and The Washington Post. He is also the author of several books, including the 2006 All Together Now: Common Sense for a Fair Economy.
