Dennis LaGanza, a three-year player for the Division 1 University of Connecticut lacrosse team and longtime coach for Alexandria youth teams, is the new head coach of the T.C. Williams varsity lacrosse team, the athletic department administration announced on Tuesday.

New Swim Staff Makes a Splash
T.C. has three new swim coaches that high expectations for the team this year. The team has taken a breath of fresh air with an entire new swim staff this year. The new coaches have lots of goals and fun practice ideas to achieve these goals so that T.C. Swim can be the best it can possibly be. The coaches want to create a balance of fun and hard work to create a competitive team for people of all skill levels.

Last Spring, the Freshman Girls Boat won the Stotesbury Cup, a national high school regatta held in Philadelphia.

Titans Football Loses Hard Fought Battle to the Majors
Football is a game of inches. This was echoed throughout the matchup between Mount Vernon High School and the Titans. On October 27 T.C. was in a fight to keep their playoff hopes alive and move one step closer to a winning record for the season.

TC Alum Making Strides in Portugal
Former T.C. Williams soccer star Eryk Williamson is taking a big step in his professional soccer career. Williamson, 21, has signed for the first division Portuguese team CD Santa Clara. Williamson was loaned out to Santa Clara on a one-year deal by the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer. Williamson was acquired by Portland on January 23, 2018, after his Homegrown Player rights were traded from local side D.C. United.

Titans Invent New Way to Beat Edison
Friday night lights. On October 19 the Titans football team traveled to Edison to play their final road game on the season. Both the Titans and the Eagles had a 3-4 record going into the contest and it was a match-up of who wanted it more and the Titans showed it in their intense and physical play.

Field Hockey Shoots for District Title Again
After a loss in the second round of the regional playoffs last season, the Varsity field hockey team is looking to improve its postseason run this year. The Titans beat Mt. Vernon in the Gunston District Semifinals 5-0, with two goals scored by Senior Reese Hardman, and one goal scored by each Senior Caroline Bates, Junior Caroline Peterson, and Senior Bridget Williams.

Hawks Fly Through Titans
On October 12, T.C. Williams traveled to Hayfield in a game that was a test of the team’s ability to win the district. The Titans were coming off a huge win against rival West Potomac the week before.

Boys Basketball Gets New Coach
The T.C. Williams boys basketball program has struggled in the past years, recently letting go of former head coach Brett Sullivan and prior years head coach Brian Hill due to coaching issues. After the firing of Brett Sullivan, Athletic Director James Parker hired former college assistant coach Darryl Prue.
