T.C. Writes! Essay Contest Open Now

The Optimist Club of Alexandria and the T.C. English Department are sponsoring an essay contest for all sophomores, juniors, and seniors, with a grand prize of $500 and prizes of $300 and $200 for the second and third place winners, respectively. Runners-up can win gift cards.

The essays must be between 700 and 800 words and address the topic, “Can Society Function Without Respect?” Participants should submit their final essays to Mark Eaton in room A202 of the King Street campus by Monday, February 19, 2018.

The finalists of the competition will be invited to a luncheon hosted by the Optimist Club at Bellehaven Country Club on Wednesday, February 28, where prizes will be given to certain authors.
