The T.C. Williams Field Hockey team celebrated its seniors on September 28 at Minnie Howard field in a game against Edison High School. Both the JV and Varsity teams played.
After the JV game, the senior night celebration took place. Players from the Freshman and JV teams formed a human tunnel that the seniors, Madigan Lubold, Tess Collard, Alex Mathews, Sophie Johnson, Neha DeWakar, Izzy Diz, and their families walked through.The Varsity team won their game by a score of 2-1, with goals scored by senior Neha DeWakar and sophomore Caroline Peterson. Both goals were assisted by senior Sophie Johnson, who committed to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for field hockey.
The JV team also won 4-0. The goals were scored by freshman Caroline Winakur, sophomore Tillie Davies, sophomore Rebecca Walsh, and sophomore Celeste Amron. Many students, including the Fightin’ Titans club, attended the game and supported the seniors on one of their last games with the class of 2018 field hockey team.
