ACPS recently celebrated the tremendous dedication and contributions of the 40 employees who retired this year. Twenty-four of the retirees dedicated more than 20 years of service to ACPS. They included security personnel, social workers, custodians, a maintenance worker, a paraprofessional and many teachers. Years of service ranged from two years to nearly a half-decade at 48 years.
Thank you for your commitment to ensuring the academic success and well being of our students, the engagement of our families and the support of our staff and our schools.
“When a person makes the choice to dedicate their work life in service of our students, their families and our schools, it’s a tremendous gift to the community as a whole. We are so grateful for your service and wish you all the best in your retirement years. Whatever you do, don’t use me as an example, because I failed at retirement. But, I have been remediated and plan to do it right this time,” said Interim Superintendent Lois F. Berlin, who retires from her service with ACPS at the end of June.
