Minnie Howard Student Named Earth Day Artist
Minnie Howard student Savannah Keough has been named the artist for this year’s Alexandria Earth Day. Savannah’s artwork will be on this year’s Earth Day T-shirts, posters and flyers in time for Earth Day on April 29.
Next T.C. Stadium Modernization Community Meeting set for March 21

School Board Approves Combined Funds Budget Needed to Fund Schools
The Alexandria City School Board voted to approve a Combined Funds Budget of $286.1 million on Thursday night. “Now is the time for our funders to demonstrate a relentless commitment to public education by fully funding this budget at the requested level,” said the Superintendent.
Additional Funds Allocated to Patrick Henry Project
The School Board has transferred $5.7m to the Patrick Henry School Project, taking the final cost to $48.2m.
