ACPS has purchased subscription webinar training offered by Instructure. Sessions are held Monday through Friday and most sessions are one hour. To register for online training sessions provided by Instructure, please follow the instructions below.
1. Go to https://www.cysalesteam.com/instructure/ and click on the “Create Account” link at the top.
2. Enter the requested information and click on the Create Account button.
IMPORTANT: You must use your ACPS email account when signing up for a new account.
3. You will receive the Account Successfully Created! confirmation message on the page and will receive an email confirming your account creation.
4. Sign in at https://www.cysalesteam.com/instructure with your email address and newly created password.
5. Browse for sessions by Category, Upcoming Events, or through the Calendar view:
Complete the THREE videos below:
- Course Basics: Provides an overview of the layout and features included in a Canvas course.
- Course Design Considerations: Highlights best practices for designing student-centered course spaces.
- Home Pages: Guides through how to functionally design Home Pages that are intuitive for students.
PLUS Choose ONE from the three videos below:
- Leveraging Modules: Teaches users how create a course flow by organizing content with the Modules tool.
- Assignments: Provides users with a detailed exploration of all the options and use cases for the Assignment tool.
- Content Pages: Features how to create engaging pages and previews sample pages across content areas.
For Additional Support: After completing the four-video series, teachers can attend a Canvas build session for in-person support as you build your courses.
