The City of Alexandria’s Office of Housing has announced the availability of a workforce affordable set-aside unit in Alexandria Crossing, a community constructed in 2010 that features nine workforce affordable home-ownership units.
This two bedroom, one-bath unit is priced at $303,973 with a low monthly condo fee of $164, and is available to first-time home buyers only (no ownership in the most recent three year period).
The City can provide income eligible households up to $50,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance through the Flexible Home-ownership Assistance Program (FHAP).
City and ACPS employees may be eligible to receive an additional $10,000 in purchase assistance through the Employee Home-ownership Incentive Program (EHIP).
Higher income home-buyers (up to $104,250 for a 2 person household) are also eligible for this purchase, but no FHAP assistance can be provided. EHIP assistance can be provided to those at higher income levels.
