Alexandria City Public Schools is launching the ACPS 2020 Strategic Plan, with the mission that Every Student Succeeds.
This will be our roadmap over the next five years and guide everything that we do as a school division.
We want all our ACPS staff to be a part of this. The new strategic plan only comes to life if we all take it on!
All staff will be receiving an ACPS 2020 lanyard this week. Schools will also get posters of the six goals to be put up in relevant areas. This means that the nurse’s station might get a Health and Wellness poster, for example, and each classroom might get a poster highlighting the Academic Excellence and Educational Equity goal. Don’t just limit the posters to the relevant areas, however. We need to be able to see reminders of all the goals all over ACPS.
As part of highlighting our new direction, we would like all staff to add the ACPS 2020 logo to their email signature. Network Services Manager John Crites has outlined the process in easy steps so that everyone can show their support for the ACPS 2020 plan:
Adding the ACPS 2020 logo to your email signature:
- In Zimbra, click on the ‘Preferences’ tab, the tab farthest to the right, located above the search bar.
- Select ‘Signatures’ from the left hand menu.
- Across from the box that says ‘Name: Signature #1’ there is a drop down menu. Select ‘format as HTML’ from the drop down menu.
- Enter your signature text in the text box.
- Place your text cursor on an empty line at the end of your signature text, where the ACPS 2020 logo will go.
- Click the ‘Insert image via URL’ icon on top of the signature text box.
- Copy and paste this URL into the empty field and click ‘Add’: https://acps.blackboard.com/bbcswebdav/institution/Communications/ACPS2020Logo_stacked.jpg
- Click Save.
