The Audubon Society of Northern Virginia is seeking applicants for its scholarship, which offers teachers the opportunity to attend a free, week-long educator’s program on Hog Island in Muscongus Bay in Maine.
The program, offered from July 17 to 22, will help teachers generate ideas for creating and incorporating environmental education activities into their curriculum.
Participants take guided field trips on the island that teach best practices, methods and activities for engaging students environmentally.
To apply, please fill out an online application. The deadline to apply is February 1, 2016.
