Are you ready to take your teaching and your technical knowledge to the next level?
If so, apply to join a cohort of highly motivated teachers who will engage in an intensive teaching and learning experience throughout the 2018-19 school year.
Our TLP facilitators are recruiting applicants for the 2018-19 Teacher Leadership Project (TLP). It’s a great fit for educators who:
- Teach Pre-K through grade 12
- Are interested in becoming technology leaders
- Would like to collaborate with others across the division.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Create an exemplary classroom that integrates technology to expand learning
- Experiment and take risks in order to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Gain experience leading and facilitating technology-rich learning opportunities for staff
How it works
Participants apply for a cohort made up of around 40 educators and led by a team of six seasoned TLP facilitators. Over the course of the next school year, cohort members will engage in:
- Two full-day workshops during the summer
(Aug. 21 and 22) - Three full-day workshops during the school year
(Oct. 4, Jan. 24 and Mar. 7) - Three after-school meetings
(Nov. 8, Dec. 6 and Apr. 25) - A gallery walk presentation (May 9)
- Ongoing collaboration in-person and online
Cohort participants receive:
- 120 recertification points
- Equipment needed to facilitate teaching and learning in your classroom
- A $300 stipend
- Access to a collaborative learning community
If you would like to be considered for the next cohort, submit an online application by 11 p.m. on Apr. 4. Applicants will be notified of their status by Monday, Apr. 9.
