T.C. Williams High School Latin teacher Justin Redpath has been elected chair of the Virginia Junior Classical League (VJCL).
Redpath is the T.C. Williams High School chapter sponsor of VJCL and has attended their annual convention for the past six years.
“I look forward to the next three-year term as chair of the Virginia Junior Classical League. In planning for next year’s convention, my nervousness is matched only by my excitement,” Redpath said.
The VJCL convention is the most anticipated event by Latin students throughout Virginia. Latin students from across Virginia come together and compete in academic tests, performative and graphic arts contests.
Redpath attended the annual VJCL convention last week with 27 Latin students from T.C. Williams who won 14 awards for placing 5th place and higher in several competitions.
