Retirement Statements Now Online

The start of a new year is a great time to check in on your retirement accounts, especially if you’re thinking about retiring. That task just got a little easier with online access now available for both ACPS retirement accounts.

ACPS offers two pension plans to benefit eligible employees: the Virginia Retirement System and the Supplemental Retirement Plan with the Principal Financial Group. Full-time, eligible employees are automatically enrolled in both plans and contributions are deducted from your paycheck.

While online access has long been available to the Virginia Retirement System at www.varetire.org, starting this month you’ll also be able to access your Supplemental Retirement Plan with the Principal Financial Group online at www.principal.com. You will no longer receive annual statements in the mail.

Soon, you’ll be getting an email from the Principal Financial Group with details on how to access your account. Please be on the lookout for it.
