Are you a staff member who interacts with our families? If so, have you taken the ACPS Family Engagement Survey for staff?
We need to hear from school-based administrators, licensed, paraprofessional, front office and central office staff and student support team members before the survey closes on March 29. Please note that the staff survey is different than the parent survey. Be sure to take the staff survey.
Staff received an email invitation to participate in this important survey with instructions and a link to access the survey. Those who work in more than one location can take the survey once for each location. Although staff will be asked to identify the school(s)/building(s) where they work, the survey results are anonymous.
The survey includes questions related to school-family relationships, including barriers to engagement; communication, school environment, opportunities for engagement and decision-making. There is also an open-ended question for comments related to family engagement.
The survey is part of an overall evaluation of family engagement in ACPS from pre-K through grade 12 that will include observations and parent and staff surveys, focus groups and interviews that will take place through May 2019. Findings from the evaluation will be used to inform decisions related to how ACPS engages with families and the relevant policies.
Results from the staff survey, along with results from all other aspects of the evaluation, will be made available in the final report expected in fall 2019. The results will be presented at summary levels to ensure individual anonymity.
