As part of our commitment to growing an exemplary staff, ACPS is dedicated to supporting the continuous growth and professional development of all ACPS employees. Today we’re focusing on what this looks like in our schools.
Does your school staff need targeted professional development or training delivered on-site? The Office of Talent Development can help. The team’s work is driven by the needs of the school and relies on teachers and administrators to guide their work.
Already this school year, the team has spent more than 100 hours in 15 of our 17 schools, providing job-embedded learning to school staff.
Working with teachers, administrators, coaches and students, the Office of Talent Development can support your school by:
- Observing, facilitating and providing feedback on Professional Learning Community (PLC) development
- Facilitating group conversations
- Supporting classrooms
- Leading instructional rounds
- Coaching
- Planning professional learning for the school
- Supporting new teachers and mentors
