Administrators: here’s an opportunity to be a leader in taking the teaching and learning outdoors and into the community.
This summer, school administrators have an opportunity to engage in a professional development program designed to support school principals and administrators in developing environmental stewardship opportunities for their entire school community.
The free Public School Leadership and Earth Force: Engaging Students in Chesapeake Bay Environmental Stewardship professional development program will take place July 22-24, 2019 on Port Isobel Island Environmental Education Center in Tangier, Virginia.
Through the three-day program, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, in partnership with Earth Force, will engage administrators in the six-step Earth Force process used to engage students in hands-on, authentic, community-based projects.
Through networking and discussions, school leaders learn how to design a program that fits the needs of their school and what leadership roles they can take to ensure success.
