To get things rolling for 2018, we thought we would look back before we look ahead. Here a few fun facts about professional development by the numbers:
- There were 994 sections of professional development offered in 2016-17. For 2017-18 we have already reached 64 percent of that number at 806 with six months left to go.
- We have already offered 81 percent of the recertification points from all of last year —4,843 this year compared to 5,939 all of last year.
- Since school started, there have been an average of 2,262 registrations per month. Registration was highest in August and lowest in November.
And, according to our professional development survey through PLMS, our teachers were happy with their training.
- 92 percent of teachers reported that they would implement what they learned during the school year.
- 92 percent agree or strongly agree that the learning was relevant to their work.
- 93 percent agree or strongly agree that the essential questions and outcomes matched what was taught.
With those numbers in mind, take a look at our offerings for the coming weeks and sign up for a session today!
