Effective Date
The benefits you elect during open enrollment will be in effect from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, unless you have a qualifying life event such as marriage, divorce or the birth or adoption of a child, at which time you may make changes to your benefit elections.
Flexible Spending Accounts Require New Enrollment Each Year
If you would like to enroll in an IRS-approved tax-free Flexible Spending Account, which allows you to set aside a portion of your salary as pre-tax dollars to be used as reimbursement for certain health and dependent care expenses you and your family incur, you must re-enroll each year. To enroll in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account or a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account you must enroll online through Employee Self-Service (ESS) or submit a paper enrollment form (PDF) to Human Resources.
If You Have No Changes
No actions are required if you have no changes in your health insurance coverage.
Open enrollment ends at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.
