New: SchoolDude’s Asset Essentials System

For years, ACPS has used SchoolDude’s Maintenance Direct as our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) work order system and it has been beneficial for our operations.

The Department of Facilities and Operations is excited to announce that ACPS will soon be transitioning to SchoolDude’s Asset Essentials system, a next-generation maintenance management system. 

While this upgrade may seem slightly more complex, it is more intuitive and detailed in ways that will benefit our staff and our school’s needs. This progressive change will allow the department to better track work orders, asset management and other necessary functions.

Asset Essentials will be replacing Maintenance Direct in SchoolDude, so all other functions (such as FSDirect) will continue as normal. Some of the highlights of Asset Essentials that make it a better program over Maintenance Direct are listed below:

  • Customizable dashboard for prioritizing important information
  • Summary pages to see multiple records at one time
  • Diverse work order routing
  • Batch updating
  • Dynamic Preventative Maintenance platform
  • Mobile app with work order request ability

Everyone’s account information should have been automatically migrated over to the new system, accessed with the following address: https://assetessentials.dudesolutions.com/ACPS.
