Reminder to Staff Who Need to Submit COVID-19 Test Results 

COVID-19 testing is required for ACPS employees who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or who did not disclose their vaccination status or upload vaccine cards into TalentEd by Aug. 26, 2021. With a spike in positive cases across the country, largely driven by the Delta variant, the School Board adopted a recommendation at its Aug. 19 Special Called Meeting to require employees to either voluntarily report their completed vaccination status or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing as a proactive approach to health and safety in our schools.

Staff members who are not vaccinated or who did not disclose their vaccination status will need to undergo weekly COVID-19 testing and show documentation of a negative result. This will mean being tested outside of your ACPS worksite. The weekly testing will be carried out in an effort to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 in the workplace and the community. Additional information will be made available as we work through this process and adapt to a continually changing situation.

Staff are required to submit their negative COVID-10 test result prior to arriving at the ACPS workplace each week.

Alexandria Health Department Vaccination Clinics

The Alexandria Health Department will hold a vaccine clinic at Alexandria City High School (ACHS) on Saturday, Sept. 25:

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Alexandria City High School, 3330 King St.
Saturday, Sept. 25, 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• Moderna Vaccine (Third Dose Only, Ages 18+): Schedule your appointment
• Pfizer Vaccine (All Doses, Ages 12+): Schedule your appointment

Additionally, there are vaccines available at the City of Alexandria’s Teen Wellness Center which is located at the ACHS King Street Campus. Community members can find additional vaccine clinics in Alexandria on the City of Alexandria COVID-19 Vaccines webpage.
