This Thursday, another round of staff and community forums will be held for the Superintendent search. An alternate session for staff unable to attend on Thursday has been scheduled on September 27 at 4:00 p.m. in the Minnie Howard Media Center.
These sessions are your opportunity to provide input to the School Board on the characteristics you would like to see in the next ACPS Superintendent.
All staff members are invited to attend at least one of the following forums on Thursday, September 21:
- Principals: 9:30 a.m. – C. Williams Rotunda
- Assistant principals: 11 a.m. – T. C. Williams Rotunda
- Teachers: 4 p.m. – John Adams Elementary School Media Center
- School support staff: 4 p.m. – George Washington Middle School Media Center
Other stakeholder group interviews are also being held throughout the process.
Staff members are also invited to take the Superintendent Leadership Profile Survey to let us know what qualities are important to you. The survey should take about five minutes to complete and will be open through September 25. If you have more than one role with ACPS you may take the survey more than once to represent each perspective.
In addition to the survey and stakeholder interviews, the second round of Community Forums is being held for members of the public on Thursday, September 21 at 7 p.m. in both the George Washington Middle School Media Center and the John Adams Elementary School Media Center.
These profile results will be presented to the School Board on Thursday, October 5 at a Special Called Board Meeting at 7 p.m. in the School Board Meeting Room at 1340 Braddock Place. This meeting is open to the public.
