We have good news concerning your upcoming paycheck!
Due to the recently passed tax reform bill, our 2018 payroll tax tables have changed. As a result, most employees will see an increase in their net pay for the January 31 payroll, due to a reduction in your federal tax withholding.
We encourage you to review the change to your federal income tax withholding and consider the impact to your individual 2018 tax situation. Specifically, compare the change in your federal tax withholding by reviewing your January 15 and 31 payslips – the latter will be viewable in Employee Self-Service beginning Wednesday, January 31.
ACPS Financial Services Department is unable to provide tax advice. If you have questions about your withholding amount and/or the impact of the new tax legislation, we encourage you to seek guidance from a tax professional to discuss your specific situation. Attached is the most recent notice from the IRS and we also encourage you to monitor the IRS website for additional information and guidance as it becomes available: .
W-2’s are on their way to you!
Last Friday, the financial services department began delivering W-2’s for the calendar year 2017.
W-2’s are being delivered to schools or departments for distribution to employees by your school or department timekeeper. To protect your privacy, the only person that can pick-up a W-2 form is the employee named on the form. Spouses, relatives or friends are not allowed to pick-up W-2’s for others. If you are unable to get your W-2 in person, then it will be mailed to the address on record.
Non-regular or substitute employees will receive W-2’s by mail. No W-2’s will be held for employee pickup in the financial services department.
All forms will be issued by January 31, in accordance with IRS requirements. Replacement or duplicate W-2’s can be requested after February 10.
