Have you ever dreamed you could do something with your students to increase student achievement but did not have the funding? ACPS is offering teachers the chance to apply for a Teachers’ Dream Fund award up to $4,999.
The Alexandria City School Board has allocated $57,000 to help teachers and other licensed professionals fund their dream projects. Any licensed ACPS professional (individual or groups) working directly with students may write a proposal to fund a project.
Projects in the past have included buying sets of remote response clickers, digital voice recorders, science lab equipment such as worm farms, classroom libraries and field trips to enhance the curriculum.
Please view the Teachers’ Dream Fund application, guidelines and rubric on which applicants will be scored, so you can properly submit your application. The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, December 16, 2015.
The Teachers Dream Fund provides resources to implement programs that educators believe are creative, innovative and will stimulate students’ growth and achievement.
For more information, please visit the ACPS Dream Fund website or email the Dream Fund Board at dreamfund@acps.k12.va.us. A list of previous recipients and projects is included on the website.
