As announced in Superintendent’s Memo #103-22, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) will host public engagement sessions to allow parents, families and community members to participate in the review and revision of the 2016 Mathematics Standards of Learning. The regional in-person sessions and one virtual session will begin with presentations by VDOE staff about the Standards of Learning revision process, followed by an opportunity for participants to share feedback about the Commonwealth’s current mathematics standards and suggest revisions.
An in-person session will be held for the Northern Virginia region at 7 p.m. on May 23, 2022, in the Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center of the Northern Virginia Community College – Annandale Campus (8333 Little River Turnpike). Registration for in-person sessions is requested but is not required to attend. A virtual session will be held at 7 p.m. on Jun 13, 2022, and advance registration is required for this meeting. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent with information about joining the meeting.
