Nominate an ACPS Educator by April 24, 2022, for Northern Virginia Magazine’s Teacher of the Year
Northern Virginia magazine has launched its first annual Teacher of the Year Award, recognizing the best educators in our region. The deadline for nominations to be submitted at NorthernVirginiaMag.com/TeacherOfTheYear is April 24, 2022.
This is your chance to nominate a deserving Alexandria City Public Schools teacher. Nominees must have at least three years of experience and be full-time K-12 teachers during the 2021-22 school year. Nominations must include a short statement explaining why the nominee deserves to be named Teacher of the Year.
Teachers will be judged on their proven ability to inspire students to learn, how they demonstrate leadership within their school and community, their ability to develop cooperative relationships with parents and knowledge of subject matter.
The Teacher of the Year honoree will be awarded $10,000 and be profiled in the cover story in the October 2022 issue of Northern Virginia magazine, which also will appear online. Finalists will be featured in the article as well.
