ACPS remains vigilant in addressing the spread of COVID-19 within the school division. Before students come to school each day or board an ACPS bus, families are asked to complete the Daily Symptom Checklist for their students. Masks, covering the nose and mouth areas, are to be worn at all times in ACPS buildings and vehicles. All students are required to have their face mask worn properly as they board the bus and must wear the face covering for the duration of the ride to their school, and again when they ride the bus back home after school.
Mitigation measures remain in place within ACPS buildings and on its buses. All ACPS school buses are wiped down daily between runs by the drivers and are sanitized every evening by our cleaning contractor. Antibacterial gel stations and handwashing stations have been set up throughout our buildings and classrooms. HEPA filters are in all classrooms and open spaces throughout ACPS buildings. Our schools continue to adhere to all safety protocols and refine their lunch procedures to ensure our students are in a healthy and safe learning environment.
Students, teachers and staff should stay home when they have signs of any infectious illness and be referred to their health care provider for testing and care. See the ACPS Frequently Asked Questions webpage for more information.
