A moving memorial took place at T.C. Williams High School, while the city released a proclamation declaring December 28, 2019 to be Herman Boone Day.
Herman Boone, iconic former head coach of the T.C. Williams High School 1971 championship football team, passed away on December 18, surrounded by his family and friends at the age of 84. Memorial services will be held on December 27 and 28.
Kudos to our high school staff and students who are on a winning streak.
“A majority of our kids, has something that they are dealing with that’s pretty heavy,” said coach and school resource officer Johnny Larios.

Fresh off the plane from Doha, Qatar, after becoming World 200 meter champion, Noah Lyles and his brother Josephus stopped by their former high school, T.C. Williams, to bring Noah’s gold medal back to the place where it all started for them.
