ACPS Student Scientists Win Big at Regional and State Science Fair Competitions
Fifty-three ACPS science fair projects won awards at the Northern Virginia Regional Science Fair. Three projects advanced to the state-level, where Ana Humphrey took second place in the Physics category. Two teams will advance to a national science fair for middle school students in June. ACPS Advocates Honored by Alexandria Commission for Women
Becoming mothers to sons with Autism propelled Yolanda Carrasco and Mildred Rivera into advocacy and leadership roles as volunteers with ACPS. The pair has now been honored at the 2017 Salute to Women Awards Celebration held by the Alexandria Commission for Women.
