Saturday night saw smiles and a few tears as T.C. Williams High School scholarship recipients celebrated their achievements with donors at the Annual Scholarship Fund Spring Benefit Gala. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria is aiming to raise more than $1 million in scholarships to help T.C. students in 2017.
ACPS Student Scientists Win Big at Regional and State Science Fair Competitions
Fifty-three ACPS science fair projects won awards at the Northern Virginia Regional Science Fair. Three projects advanced to the state-level, where Ana Humphrey took second place in the Physics category. Two teams will advance to a national science fair for middle school students in June. Superintendent Appoints New Principal of T.C. Williams High School
Superintendent Alvin L. Crawley has appointed Peter Balas as the new Principal of T.C. Williams High School, citing proven strong leadership skills and academic experience as the reason for the choice. Balas has spent the last 15 years of his career with ACPS, including five years as an administrator at T.C. Williams.
